Life is Good!

09 December 2007
Ok so I know I'm slacking on my blogs. I'm sorry! I get pretty pre-occupied here. I am having a so much fun though, this totally makes boot camp worth it. Tomorrow we begin Photo Journalism. I don't know how well I'll do in it, but I'm sure I'll have fun either way.

Last week we finished up the first section of BPAS-W(Basic Public Affairs Specialist - Writing course). It was kind of a technical writing style, there is a formula for how to put these stories together and basically you just have to plug in the information. "Plug-and-Play" as Tech Sgt. Thornton puts it. So it's been really easy so far. I've been doing pretty well in class too. I found out last week that the distinguished honor grad(the person who graduates with the highest average) is automatically advanced to E-4, Petty Officer 3rd Class. I would love to earn that, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up. ** Side note; I would like to congratulate Charlie Brown on graduating first in his class with a 95% average, and getting a promotion because of it! Hooyah promotions =P**

But anyway, I'm worried I wont do so well on these next few parts, Photojournalism and Feature writing, which both involve creativity. Not saying I'm not creative but sometimes I don't feel too creative I guess, and I'd hate to ruin my grade because of it. Oh well, we'll just see how it goes!

2 more weeks and I'm coming home. So to my pals at 3SG expect to see me at some point. To my recruiters I'm gonna try to stop in and work with you guys, which i will be calling you about soon. To my friends you better get ready because the fun is coming back to Chilli ;D. And to my family, well i'll just be glad to be back home.

Hey! I'm so glad you're having fun there. I heard through the grapevine something about you coming through Cincinnati and possibly needing a ride home. Let me know if that's still in the cards, I'd be happy to drive you! Although you might want to check with your airline first to make sure they'll let you leave during your layover. Can't wait to see you!!
